MQSA/mammography certification and experience with additional imaging modalities are highly valued. Job Overview Harry S. Truman Memorial Veterans’ Hospital is recruiting a Diagnostic Radiologist to provide comprehensive diagnostic imaging services from the Columbia medical center while also supporting the newly established Rolla Multispecialty CBOC through remote coverage. The radiologist will interpret and report a broad spectrum of studies including plain film, CT, MRI, ultrasound, mammography, and fluoroscopy; serve as a consultant to referring clinicians; participate in multidisciplinary case conferences; and contribute to quality assurance, peer review, protocol development, education, and performance improvement. Board certification in Diagnostic Radiology is required. MQSA/mammography certification is preferred. Additional appropriately credentialed imaging experience, including nuclear medicine, is desirable. Role is physically based at Truman VA in Columbia, with remote coverage for Veterans served by the Rolla Multispecialty CBOC. Potential additional on-call responsibilities may be assigned based on service needs. Location & Mission The position combines the resources and professional community of Truman VA in Columbia with the opportunity to extend specialty imaging access to Veterans in the Rolla region. Rolla brings a strong quality-of-life story to the recruitment effort: Ozarks scenery, outdoor recreation, a vibrant university presence through Missouri S&T, Route 66 character, and easy access to parks, trails, rivers and forests. Few careers offer the same sense of purpose as caring for those who served our nation. At VA, radiology is not simply image interpretation; it is an essential part of timely diagnosis, coordinated care and improved outcomes for Veterans. This role allows a radiologist to use advanced clinical expertise in a mission-driven system where the work has a clear and lasting impact. Are you ready? The Rolla expansion is an exciting opportunity to help bring specialty care closer to Veterans in south-central Missouri. The region offers the natural beauty and recreation of the Ozarks, a university-town influence through Missouri S&T, historic Route 66, and a lifestyle that balances professional opportunity with room to breathe. Most importantly, this is an opportunity to practice medicine in service to Veterans. The work directly supports men and women who served our country, within a system built around coordinated, mission-focused care.
