Role Overview: A licensed and board-certified Medical Doctor (MD) with expertise in diagnostic radiology is needed to provide inpatient imaging interpretation and light interventional radiology services in a critical access medical center. Key Responsibilities: Interpret diagnostic imaging including CT, MRI, ultrasound, plain films, mammography, and nuclear medicine. Perform procedures such as ultrasound and CT-guided biopsies and drainages, breast biopsies and localizations, lymphoscintigraphy, and basic fluoroscopic procedures. Manage a workload of approximately 90-120 studies on weekdays and 30-50 on weekends. Work Schedule: Provide on-site coverage Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with remote reads during evenings and weekends, including availability for urgent procedures. Qualifications & Skills: Board certification in radiology, experience with multiple imaging modalities, proficiency in performing guided procedures, and ability to work independently in a hospital setting. Additional Details: The assignment involves working in a facility equipped with variable PACS systems, utilizing different dictation methods, and supporting a broad spectrum of diagnostic and interventional services in a rural setting.
