Assistant Professors WOT are eligible for multi-year appointments that align with a 12-month service period (July 1-June 30). Associate Professors WOT hold indefinite appointments that align with a 12-month service period (July 1-June 30). Faculty with 12-month service periods are paid for 11 months of service over a 12-month period (July-June), meaning the equivalent of one month is available for paid time off. All faculty members participate in multidisciplinary conferences, which offer an opportunity to develop academic collaborations and build a reputation with our colleagues. Teaching and mentoring of medical students, residents and fellows is a large part of our Section’s mission and it is required from all our faculty members. We seek applicants who demonstrate commitment to excellence in research, teaching, and service in a diverse and inclusive academic community. Clinical responsibilities include patient care in interventional radiology. Additional responsibilities include teaching and supervision of medical students, residents, and fellows, contribution to weekly interdepartmental clinical conferences, quality assurance and continuous process improvement, engagement in academic and research activities, and assigned administrative duties. All UW faculty engage in teaching, research, and service. This position will include work primarily in the pediatric IR division serving Seattle Children’s Hospital, in addition to a smaller component of work in the adult IR division serving the University of Washington School of Medicine and affiliated healthcare facilities. Seattle Children’s is a 407 bed medical regional center; over 136,000 pediatric imaging examinations per year are performed across all modalities within the Hospital and associated outpatient clinics. Successful applicants will join our 6 current full time pediatric interventional radiologists (2 of whom are similarly pediatric/adult hybrid faculty), 8 advanced practice providers (APPs), and 30 pediatric diagnostic radiology faculty members, participating in the ongoing education of IR residents, pediatric radiology fellows, and diagnostic radiology residents. The institution is committed to clinical and research excellence, and pediatric interventional radiologists are encouraged and supported in clinical and basic research efforts. Compensation and fringe benefits are competitive. The base salary range for this position at the assistant professor rank will be $45,004–$55,868 per month ($540,048–$670,416 annually), commensurate with experience and qualifications, or as mandated by a U.S. Department of Labor prevailing wage determination. This range is inclusive of base salary provided through the Children’s University Medical Group (CUMG) practice plan, in addition to base salary provided by the University. Please note that only compensation provided by the University is included in University benefit determinations and calculations. Compensation provided by Children’s University Medical Group (CUMG) practice plan may provide eligibility for separate benefits offered by that organization. This position is incentive eligible through the physicians practice plan.
