CVP is seeking a Diagnostic Radiologist to join our team in providing support operations at the Atlanta VA Medical Center located at 1670 Clairmont Road Decatur, GA 30030. You'll play a vital role in delivering high-quality diagnostic imaging services to support quality healthcare delivery for Veterans. This is a part-time position. Working hours are any three days a week, Monday through Friday, 730 AM to 400 PM. Monday, Wednesday, and Friday are preferred. Interpret and provide accurate diagnostic reports for a wide range of imaging examinations, including X-ray, CT, MRI, ultrasound, fluoroscopy, and other imaging modalities as requiredPerform and interpret neuroimaging studies, including CT and MRI of the brain, head and neck, and spineCommunicate critical and urgent findings to referring providers in a timely manner and document communications in accordance with facility policiesProvide consultation to physicians and other healthcare providers regarding appropriate imaging studies and interpretation of findingsCollaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to support diagnosis, treatment planning, and ongoing patient careOversee imaging protocols and provide clinical guidance to radiologic technologists to ensure high-quality diagnostic imagingSupervise the administration of contrast agents and medications related to diagnostic imaging procedures, as appropriateParticipate in quality assurance, peer review, and performance improvement activitiesMaintain compliance with applicable regulatory, accreditation, and facility requirementsMeet established productivity, accuracy, and report turnaround time standardsMust be eligible to obtain a Public Trust government security clearance; US Citizenship is requiredActive, full, and unrestricted medical license in any U.S. state or territoryBoard Certified in Radiology by the American Board of Radiology (ABR)Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certificationDemonstrated experience interpreting neuroimaging studies, including CT and MRI of the brain, head and neck, and spineFellowship training in Neuroradiology preferred, but not requiredActive DEA licenseNPI report printoutStrong patient care and communication skills Physical ability to assist patients and operate equipment; capable of standing for long periods of extended time, lifting and/or transferring up to 50 lbs Location Atlanta VA Medical Center located at 1670 Clairmont Road Decatur, GA 30030.
